News Alloy

NewsAlloyOn my previous post about t3h blox0r, the site’s developers said that the development is on hold. So I’ve tried searching another alternative to this ajaxy web-aggregator and found NewsAlloy. NewsAlloy is a Web based RSS Reader, which allows to subscribe your favourite News Sources and read news in a easy and manageable way.

The reason I’m giving this a try perhaps because the interface is somewhat similar to GMail. Although you can try to input some tags (use the lil’ green bookmark icon under every feed), it’s still on their TODO list. Instead, play around with the small heart button under every feed to Email them to your friends, add to your del.icio.us or digg, and query additional information about the news on Google or Technorati. Pretty nifty, no?

Key features of NewsAlloy

  • Fast Javascript driven intuitive user interface with zero refresh feature (Gmail like).
  • Unlimited news archive (all items are stored in database).
  • Quick Search.
  • Classical Channels and Folders Navigation.
  • You always can track all your news and monitor your favourite topics.
  • Pin interested news and find them later in one click.
